Bryozoan statoblst and bryozoan zooids
I've posted some bryozoan statoblasts in the past. Most of the ones I find are pretty beat-up looking but occasionally you find a nice one. The bryozoan colony I found a couple weeks ago has been a source for some very fresh ones. These "new" statoblasts were surrounded by a soft "membrane" of sorts, very clearly seen in the first image. None of the ones I have found previously had this and I suspect it may wear away as they float about.
My previous post on this particular colony is here: http://www.photomacrography.net/forum/v ... hp?t=31901
