Graphosma semipunctatus

Post by Yawns »

I knew this variety exists, but I never found one, so I was convinced they were not present in my area.

After finding hundreds of Graphosoma lineatum italicus, a couple of days ago while chasing a moth I found a Graphosoma semipunctatus.. I felt great :)

They have interrupted lines (dots) behind the head, and they are pale yellow underneath.

The lineatum have continuous lines and underneath they are the same red/orange color as in the back with larger dark dots.

The "new" semipunctatum

and the llineatum I found so many before...

The photo you like is a rail stack and it was done with a 4X microscope objective
