Two different instars of bush katydids in my backyard:
Early instar nymph in a Calandrinia flower, nibbling pollen: Nikon D800, reverse-mounted 28mm + 36mm extension tube, diffused flash.
Later instar on Japanese maple: Nikon D800, 105mm Nikon macro lens + 36mm extension tube, diffused flash.

I really like the composition of #2, by the way. Low angle is always good, you have focus placed nicely on the eyes, and in this case that also means that the leaves to the left of center are also in good focus. Without focus they would be distracting, with focus they are a nice framing element.
