Bad Weather Macro

Post by fisheyeadventures »

Hey everyone,
what's the best weather to go out getting some cool shots?
I really like rainy and foggy weather, especially when getting really close. All the insects freeze and won't move a lot (ok... you still have to find their hiding spots...:D) offering you an easy snapshot:

I have not tried those conditions. Insects would be sheltering, of course.
The cool of the morning can be good for similar reasons, but again insects will be a bit less obvious than when things warm up and our friends become more active.
Also, as is well known, cloudy skies gives great ambient light.
