The lighting of the last one is very interesting; it really looks three-dimensional. Extremely nice! I don't recall ever seeing that kind of light effect before for single-cell animals.

Lou. The ligthing technique is to feather the darkfield stop, somewhat similar to the COL technique. It imparts a three=dimensioniality to the subject throught the focus stack.
